  • Aiman Alawa, Ph.D., CEO

    Aiman Alawa, Ph.D. serves as NuWatt Energy’s CEO. He has more than 25 recognized publications in the engineering and renewable energy fields. .In addition to his position in NuWatt Energy, he is a Principal and Senior Consultant at Free Flow Energy; a Renewable Energy consulting company. He co-authored a study sponsored by the Department of Interior to assess engineering specifications and regulatory standards of renewable energy devices. The report can be accessed here.

    He has consulted for Northeast small-to-mid sized manufacturing and construction companies, and helped modernize and optimize their engineering and managerial processes to increase efficiency and enhance bottomline. He also worked as the engineering and department head in construction and engineering companies providing weather-tight construction.

    Aiman has a Doctoral Degree in engineering and has done extensive research in the field of design for extreme events and material engineering science, with a strong background in Academia having worked in research and lecturing in institutions such as Clarkson University, NY, and Hiroshima University, Japan.

  • Mufeed MahD, Ph.D., Technical Advisor

    Mufeed Mahd joined NuWatt energy as a technical advisor. His expertise is centered around mathematical modeling, software simulation and performance evaluation for distributed power systems with prime focus on renewable energy and micro-grids. Mufeed also implemented several projects related to power systems stability and control in the Middle East and North America. Several other projects in the area of signal processing and hybrid systems design were also implemented.

    While serving as a Technical Advisor at NuWatt, Mufeed is a faculty member at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. He is leading a research group at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering that is working with various industrial partners and collaborators. His group members were successful to implement several projects totaling more than $2 million. Large number of high quality publications including books, journal articles, and conference proceedings were generated. Mufeed is serving as an editor for several scientific journal and conference processing’s (International Journal in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, etc). Mufeed is an active member in several IEEE societies (Control Systems, Signal Processing, Power Engineering, and Reliability); he is also an active member in several professional organizations such as the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE), the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO), and Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE).

    Mufeed hold a PhD degree from the University of Western Ontario, Canada. Mufeed is a licensed Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario, Canada. Currently, Mufeed is working on his Professional Engineer License in Massachusetts, USA and very shortly he will be done with his MBA degree from the University of Massachusetts, USA.

  • Michael Dressler, Regional Sales Director

    Mr. Dressler is NuWatt Energy's regional sales director for Rhode Island and Bristol County, MA. After graduating with a finance degree from Bryant University, Michael worked for a $100 Million dollar manufacturing business with over 100 employees.

    In addition to being promoted to Treasurer and Board of Trustees, he was also instrumental in facilitating the only private 66 Megawatt cogeneration facility in Rhode Island. He also attended government hearings, contracted Power Purchase Agreements and Land Lease Contracts, creating an annual company savings of over $ 400,000.

  • Rob Fortin, Regional Sales Specialist

    A highly-motivated clean energy advocate and a master electrician by profession. Rob is a seasoned project management professional with twenty four years’ experience.  Effective negotiator skilled at building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and business owners.

      Experience includes business ownership of fifteen years, client relations, project management, cost estimating and bidding, coordinating with vendors, and developing strong teamwork. Recognized for exceptional organizational skills, providing quality workmanship and timely completion of projects..
